The Register for Warranty feature enables you to register your standard roofing product limited warranty or your standard roofing system limited warranty. Owens Corning™ Roofing Preferred or Platinum Preferred Contractors must register all System Protection, Preferred Protection or Platinum Protection roofing system warranties on homeowner's behalf. OC (Owens Corning) customers (Homeowners, Contractors, Property Management groups etc.) may register properties for warranty online. All users need to sign up and setup a profile on the warranty resource center to perform warranty registration.
To register, user must provide the following information:
Customer (one who owns the property)
Property (on which Shingles or product was installed)
Contractor (one who did the installation)
Product Information
Attach documents (proof of ownership, proof of installation etc.)
This page is divided into various steps for ease of navigation. The Register for Warranty is a four step process, all of which are explained below in detail. To view a particular step detail, click on the section header. This will expand the section showing all fields under it. Likewise, clicking on the section header of an expanded section collapses it, hiding all fields under it.
For homeowners, system will automatically populate property owner information from their profile.
You will have to provide following information about the property owner:

This section displays a checkbox Is property address same as user’s contact address. If you select Yes, then the property address is populated from the previously entered customer address. If you select No, then you will have to enter the following information:

Mailing Address: Select the mailing address from this dropdown. Two options are available: Customer Address or Property Address. The selected address will be used for mailing packet to homeowner via UPS or USPS.
After completing the Property Information, you must provide the Contractor information. Click Search Contractor to display a list of contractors based on your zip code combination. If contractor information does not exist, you may create a new contractor by entering the following information for the contractor:

After entering the Contract Information, you must enter property specific information below:
Property Type - is it a "Single Family Home" or "Other" type of property?
Year Built
Product
Color
Quantity Purchased (Note: You must enter quantity information in SQUARES, 1 SQUARE = 100 Square feet)
Date Of Installation
Please provide information about Roofing Essentials™ Accessory Products used as part of your roof installation:
Ventilation Products
Hip and Ridge Shingles
Ice and Water Protection

Additional Products
You must answer a few additional questions to identify the type of warranty (shingle warranty or system warranty). These questions are:
Were all pre-existing roof materials removed down to the deck? For all new construction, check yes.
Was Ice and Water Protection applied to satisfy code requirements?
Was Owens Corning™ Fiberglas™ Reinforced Felt Underlayment or #15 or #30 felt underlayment meeting ASTM D226 or ASTM D4869 used? (If synthetic underlayment was used instead of felt, check yes)
Were new metal flashings and drip edges installed per Owens Corning roofing recommendations and NRCA guidelines?
Was the roof installed as per the requirements published by Owens Corning installation instructions in conformance with good roofing practices, and were local building code requirements observed?
Were ventilation products used to meet FHA Minimum Property ventilation standards?
Based on your response to the questions above and based on the product and property type, your warranty is determined. Your warranty may be referred to as a “Standard” warranty or “Standard System” warranty.
In this section, you may attach documents in support of the proof of purchase or proof of ownership. To attach a document, click Attach. A pop-up window will be shown. Click on the Browse button to browse your system (laptop, computer) for the document. After you have identified the exact location of the documents and correct document, click Attach. To delete an entry, click on the option.
In the Comments field, you may enter any additional comments you wish to convey to Owens Corning regarding this warranty registration.
This section also displays the service agreement I agree to the Owens Corning Terms and Conditions for System Use and Accuracy of Information with a checkbox.
After entering relevant details in all mandatory fields, you can perform one of the following actions:
Save as Draft: If you want to save the data entered by you, then click this button.
Submit: This button is enabled only after you agree to terms and conditions and select the checkbox in Step 4 of 4 section. Upon clicking this button, a registration record number is generated. Your unique number is visible to the person submitting the registration.
A success message will be shown confirming your action.
